A low carb diet may seem appealing to many, but you may want to watch out for certain things the low carb diet lacks in. The most important thing, probably in all of losing weight, is that you have to have a good solid fiber intake. Fiber is essential in weight loss because it helps to pass unnecessary fat and other elements out of your body. If you are lacking in fiber, it will take food a whole lot long to pass through your digestive track. This, in turn, will cause you to hardly see any results in weight loss or you will notice that you lose weight, but at an extremely slow rate. Lacking in fiber not only causes you to lose weight slowly, but most people on low carb diets, that lack fiber, are more prone to problems such as cancers of the digestive track. Some are even more prone to cardiovascular disease as well.
