The Low Carb Food Pyramid

Yes, I know it sounds a little crazy, but believe it or not, there is a food pyramid, just for those who are on the low carb diet; and yes, it is completely different from the food pyramids you know of. As you may have already guessed it, vegetables are number one on the pyramid. The vegetable group is the one you should have the most of. The next level consists of proteins. Mostly you should eat more fish and eggs than anything else in this group. After the proteins comes the fruits. You have to be really careful with fruits. The best ones to eat that contain small amounts of carbs are, strawberries, blueberries, kiwis, and avocados. Be careful to stay away from bananas. They have a very high carb count and can quickly add the pounds on. After the fruits comes the dairy products. These should also be consumed in moderation. Lastly, you should do all that is possible to stay away from rice and grains.
