Foods for low carb dieters

You have already heard of low carb diets; now the next big question on your mind is: What are examples of low carb foods that I can eat?


Of course, you can just follow the diet program that has been laid out for you, such as in the Atkins or South Beach diet. But we all know that the foods in these diets can be a tad expensive for our tastes, so here are some examples of low carb foods that can also be called as cost-effective ones.


Strawberries, raspberries, cranberries – name it, and you can eat it. Aside from the fact that they are low carb, what’s great about berries is that they have high antioxidant content. Talk about having a healthy (and delicious) diet.


You can also add tofu in your diet. This is a great alternative to meat, since tofu is high in protein and low in carbohydrates.


Of course, the classic green, leafy vegetables are included in the list of low carb foods. Examples are cabbage, celery, bokchoy, lettuce, and spinach.
