The biggest misconception in low carb diets

If there is one thing that anti-low carb diet people contend, it is the alleged lack of vegetables and fruits in low carb diets. But contrary to this belief, those who follow a healthy low carb diet plan actually find themselves eating more vegetables and fruits than they did before they went on a diet.


The trick here is not to entirely avoid fruits and vegetables, but to eat low sugar fruits and non-starchy vegetables. You can use low-starch vegetables in lieu of starchy foods. For example, instead of eating your favorite mashed potatoes (which is high in carb content by the way), why not try substituting it with mashed cauliflower?


For your fruits, try berries. Aside from the fact that they have low sugar content, berries also have antioxidants that are good for your body and overall health condition.


Also, try experimenting with your vegetable dishes so that you don’t get bored with the same types of food over and over again.
