Low Carb Chinese Diet

Low carb diets and Chinese foods do not exactly go together Chinese foods are very rich in carbohydrates and sugar, which is why it can be very challenging for the low carb dieter to follow his diet when eating inside a Chinese restaurant. But don’t fret because it is not at all impossible, and you just have to keep some things in mind.

Chinese cuisine varies depending on the region where they came from. But in general, rice, noodles, wanton, breaded meats, and egg rolls should be avoided because they are not necessarily low in carbohydrates. Most thick sauces also contain too much sugar, which are not exactly diet-friendly.

To be able survive a Chinese dine out, opt for the safe choices, such as clear thin soups, steamed vegetables and tofu, stir-fried dishes, and meat and vegetables with thin sauces. Use your taste buds to know if a certain dish has too much sugar or starch in it.
