Eat less, spend less

Low carb diets have the reputation to be expensive. After all, two of the most popular low carb weight loss plans, namely the Atkins Diet and the South Beach Diet, do make use of some expensive ingredients for their foods. But then, you must remember that it’s entirely up to you whether you want your foods to be expensive or affordable. If you are really determined to go on a low carb diet but your pockets are not prepared, then there are ways you can utilize in order to cut your expenses.

One thing that you can do is to buy your meat products in bulk so that you get them for a wholesale price. You can stock these meats in your refrigerator for future use.

Another way is to look for alternatives. For example, if a low carb recipe says that you should use macadamia nuts, why not try peanuts instead? They are more affordable, and they also have the same amount of proteins as macadamia nuts. The key here is to be creative in your food choices.
