Low Carb Italian Diet

Believe it or not, the Italian diet is not just composed of pasta and pizza and other high carb foods alone. It is still possible to enjoy Italian dishes even if you are watching your weight.

Forget about the pizza and pasta because there is more to the Italian diet than meets the eye. You can try ordering seafood, for the Italians are known to prepare seafood dishes with healthy ingredients. Also, olive oil is also good for your body since they contain antioxidants. You will find that most Italian foods make use of olive oil, so you better take advantage of it.

High card Italian foods, such as crostini and polenta, should be avoided. Meatballs should also be taken out of the diet as they also have bread crumbs in them. Of course, fried foods are a big no-no for low carb diets.
As with any other diets, eating your food slowly can also help you avoid overeating.
